Gabriel and Scott first met in 2015 while working in the finance department at Ace Cash Express. Their shared professional values and mutual respect led to a lasting friendship, which later became the foundation for Blue Sky Consulting Group. The firm was created to serve a market they both believe is often overlooked—small to mid-sized businesses in need of strategic financial insight.
Scott holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from the Colorado State School of Business. His early career began in corporate accounting at Affiliated Computer Services (later acquired by Xerox), followed by roles in finance at Metromedia Restaurant Group—parent company of Bennigan’s, Steak & Ale, and other restaurant brands. He later held financial positions at Buffet Partners, owners of Furr’s Cafeterias and Buffets, and then moved into corporate finance management at Ace Cash Express, which became Populus Financial Group.
At Blue Sky Consulting Group, the focus is on helping small to mid-size businesses gain a deeper understanding of their financial statements and cash flow, empowering them to achieve sustainable success.
Gabriel graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013 and has over 10 years experience in accounting/financial roles, pricing, mortgage, financial services and budgeting. He also co-owns and operate 2 laundromats with his parents so he understands the pride and joy of business ownership. He applies experiences from his finance work history to the laundromats to make them more profitable.
